3D Medical Animation: Antibody Immune Response
www.nucleusinc.com This 3D medical animation shows how antibodies stop harmful pathogens from attaching themselves to healthy cells in the blood stream. The animation begins by showing normal red and white blood cells flowing through the blood stream. Next, a single pathogen appears onscreen slowly moving toward its destination on the surface of a cell. The tubular extensions on the pathogen are surface proteins which attach to corresponding surface proteins on a white blood cell, or …

lol when macrophage passes by the virus “hey yo u look yummi” and just leaves as nothing has happened

Those Y shaped molecules are immunoglobulins (antibodies) which attach themselves to the antibody, thereby presenting it to a phagocytic cell, presumably a macrophage or an eosinophil!!!!

That was a phagocyte (white blood cell) destroying a bacterial cell that couldnt attact itself to a cell and unfortnately got disposed of…Thanks to the immune system…

this is like something from a bad dream

I was referring to the antibodies acting as a targeting system; that if those stick on you, your swallowed by a white blood cell.
December 12th, 2009 at 6:19 am
that is what the adis virus kills the t-cells
so you might be awesome driving a tank through Iraq but without a targeting system what good is your tank vs insurgents?
December 12th, 2009 at 7:10 am
Once those sticks [antibodies] attach onto you: “Target Locked.”
Bacteria: DX

Exactly, I’m working on getting my Bachelors in nutrition and that is true. Supplementation is not a luxury it is a need, based on the farm food’s transport to get to the kitchen table. Many missing nutrients. What most people don’t know is that antibodies are a secondary response, the first one is proper cellular communication which can keep the virus from entering the cell if one is properly nourished to feed cells 24/7.
