Gallbladder Removal Surgery due to Gallstones
www.nucleusinc.com This 3D medical animation shows minimally invasive gallbladder removal surgery, or cholecystectomy, using a laparoscope. The animation begins by showing the normal anatomy of the liver and gallbladder. Over time, gallstones form within the gallbladder, blocking the cystic duct, and causing the gallbladder to become enlarged and inflamed. The procedure, sometimes called a “lap-chole”, begins with the insertion of four trocar devices, which allow the physician to see inside …

The Gallbladder flush didn’t work for me. I’m getting surgery in 3 days. It sucks. But i’m relying on the 80% chance that I don’t get post-cholecystectomy syndrome. I don’t want to go on living with pain. But nothing compares to the pain of gallstone attacks (Biliary colic) after heavy/fatty meals. The 3 painful episodes I had are enough. I felt like goin through hell in the middle of the night and I couldn’t sleep it through. I was given Tramadol (an opioid analgesic, same as that of morphine!).

it’s been almost a week since i had the surgery still hurts a bit, i guess it depends on the recovery of each of us. We all have very different systems so i guess is safe to say that some heal faster then other. the guy next to my room had a rectal surgery they replaced a part of his rectal tube with plastic on monday by wednesday he was happy as a bird man. so i guess it all depends for me this is my first surgery ever that dude he said was his 6 or 7th so hes a pro on that i guess.

Most of the times, in case of any surgery, things sail smoothly because surgeons are well prepared in advance to deal with anything especially if anythings go wrong. There is usually no need to worry unnecessarily.Sure! some anxiety is natural on the part of patients and relatives but believe me any good surgeon is always more anxious for you.Mostly his mind usually has thought about everything you might be needing during and after ur surgery.Go ahead without fear.

Maybe because I was in such good shape physically when I had the surgery, AND it was not emergency surgery since they said it could wait to after the tournament (but what if I had an attack while I was out of town at the tourny).
I admit I did not perform well, no jumps or fighting… but I was able to participate.
You do have to push and not baby yourself… push through the pain. I wish you good luck and a speedy recovery.

i had my gallbladder removed 2 days ago and still in pain, i went into emergency surgery since my gallbladder was infected and disturbing my liver, i am so happy to see what actual happened!

Please don’t have your gallbladder removed just because you have gallstones! Having it removed will change your digestive system forever. Gallstones are extremely common and many people live their whole lives with them without any pain or problems. The only time it should ever be removed is if it is infected, causing pain, or stops functioning etc. but not just because you have stones.

Lot’s and lot’s of people have gallstones but it doesn’t mean they have to have there gallbladder removed. It should only be removed if the gallbladder is causing pain or other problems. Most people live with gallstones their whole lives and never have any problems.

December 3rd, 2009 at 9:12 pm
Are you serious, like you can do anything better than a doctor?
December 3rd, 2009 at 9:46 pm
if it’s a laparoscopic surgery, as the video said, you’ll be up within 1-3 days. if it’s an open surgery, that would take you weeks to recover.
good luck with the surgery! get well soon!
