Jesus rejected slavery, force, and fraud…..
he would not want the government slavery system NOR this government oligopolized insurance system…..
we gave us free will, right?
Then let the People have their freedom. Slavery is horrible, just look at what it has already done to us, why would I want to continue going that direction?!? Reject both slavery systems by both parties!

you won’t be for long….it is all oversubsidized
they aren’t even showing you the true cost of your own healthcare

“Our entire prescription drug system is a giant scam.”
Quite right. And many of those mythical “uninsured” are actually people who choose to opt out of the pharmaceutical system and would prefer to pay cash for preventive or alternative care that provides better results.
No reason for the government to steal more taxes from us, force us into a government-mandated plan, or run a corrupt vote-buying scheme using “healthcare” as an excuse.

“As an ALTERNATIVE[...]“
November 20th, 2009 at 8:00 am
Since it’s efficiency has not been scientifically proven you should call it homeopathic ALTERNATIVE medicine. As a ALTERNATIVE medicine it still expensive when compared to prayers, that is also a ALTERNATIVE medicine and is totally free.

You’re right, and I was trying to show why mark1m’s comment was flawed. My comment was not an accurate representation of reality, but should be if the logic mark1m was using wascorrect.

health insurance is too expensive because too much is covered. and auto insurance is not expensive because it does NOT cover every oil change and wiper blade.
November 20th, 2009 at 8:32 am
Jesus would OPPOSE the government STEALING from productive citizens to fund a corrupt government vote-buying scheme. There is no justification for government intrusion into healthcare. Private healthcare is the ONLY moral choice.

With respect to car insurance…
Unless you have a financed vehicle (the bank’s car until you pay it off), you don’t have to carry collision. The law says that you have to cover liability. You have to be able to pay for someone else’s car if you damage it and/or the passengers. You have the potential to cause extreme damage to life and property while driving.
Also, most high-deductible plans I have seen pay for preventative care at 100%–yearly physicals, mamograms, etc.

That is a myth, as the relation between people getting “preventative” care has more to do with people’s desire and beliefs regarding regular doctor visits and the like. As many people with insurance avoid going to the doctor. There exists a definite relation between people going to the doctor and to E.R.’s to acquire treatments that the government does not allow them to receive alone. Our entire prescription drug system is a giant scam.

True

Notice also how Insurance doesn’t often cover homeopathy, and homeopathic medicine is cheaper, because it is subject to competitive rates.

It’s better to get regular oil changes for your car than to replace the engine after it burns up. But people have to foot the whole bill for oil changes, so that’s why everybody just drives their car until it burns up.

my old vision insurance covered lasic.
The problem with high deductibles is people dont get preventative treatment if they have to foot the whole bill. And getting blood pressure medicine is alot better than being rushed to the ER for a heart attack.
Also the dude said we dont expect someone else to pay for our cars. Last I checked thats exactly what my car insurance is. Ive never been in an accident but ive been paying for other people’s accidents for 10 years now because its the law.

I can accept that herbs have good effects, but sticking needles in points determined by primitive holy men to use “energy” that has never been shown to be there by physics is just backward.
Homeopathy has never worked, its just water! There is not likely a single molecule of whatever advertised substance its supposed to be in the whole bottle.
Everyone needs to see The Irrational Heath System by Dawkins. I know hes a liberal but what he will show you, you will all have to pay for like in the UK

Acupuncture was never designed to be used alone, it was supposed to be used in conjunction with Chinese Herbal Medicine which is very effective. Many of todays medicines are singular components of Chinese Herbs such as Tamiflu. Homeopathy is also very effective, but Big Pharma doesn’t like homeopathy because it’s cheap, effective with little to no side effects, they cannot make a lot of money off of homeopathy, I’d like to be able to chose between costly pharma drugs & cheap natural medicine.

The Singer is an idiot. I would love to ask my doctor how much every lab, test or medicine cost, but I do ask my doctor and he/she never knows because someone else always handles the paperwork and my insurance company never knows what they cover until I get the bill. My insurance only covers 80% of most everything, but if something cost $3000.00, I’m out $600.00 so I would like to be able to shop around. I’d like to know what it costs upfront.

He’s already told us that the Public Option was not the goal of the Health Care Reform.
