You had the unluckiness of going to a hospital with a long wait. Not all hospitals and clinics in Canada are like this, I would say it’s really unlikely to get a hospital with a wait like that. The average American wait for health is probably shorter. But waiting time alone is not a good way to judge socialized health care.
