I asked Dr. Penzell, the physician featured in this video that question. Here is his response: “There were fines but the grower only had to pay about $7,500 in fines. After this incident the laws were changed so that subsequent violations are now fined at $10,000 per violation rather than $1,000.
Finally they did sue the grower, but walked away with maybe $2,500 a person after settlement and fees.
