I’ve fallen out of love with SM over the years. They were one of my favorite bands when I was an early teen. This album is classic though. My sister and her boyfriend gave it to me the day before Christmas ‘95. Still love it! Peace

Lemme say something: This song is pure genious; it’s beauty is so sublime, and the ironic thing is, it’s a heavy song. The smashing pumpkins have a knack for this kinda stuff. You feel the amazing lyrics simply move you. The break in the song is simply amazing. And because of this song, (Which happens to be on my top 10 list), i have a new motto for life: Love Is Suicide.

I can’t thank The Smashing Pumpkins enough.

    ♥ this song :D

Like, I own this album. On disc, of course! But regardless if I own it or not, I still have listened to this song about 9 times today. And that’s NOT an exaggeration. There’s so much fucking adrenaline!

I know in the foreground hes saying love is suicide, but he also has his voice layered in the background as well. Although I suppose he could be saying “suicide”

  14. Wolftheslayerx Says:

  15. rohiogerv22 Says:

1:57 – 2:11 what are the background Billys saying? Ive always wondered.

    yep

  17. TheMRious Says:

except TARANTULA. It´s a very good song. Billy Corgan reminds me the singer of an animated band hiting strong here in Italy not being a million dollar production. Search for SWAVE IN THE FUTURE

  18. BehindTheLight99 Says:

    fucking amazing song

  19. cmoiflorian Says:

This song is not to hear, but to feel. Can you feel it?

their collective image had to do with their success too. why do you think billy tries to recreate that image with new members? he may have written 99% of the songs, but there’s more factors to consider. and as a drummer, jimmy chamberlin was the biggest reason i got into them in the first place. plus butch vig gets credit along with flood for producing those masterpieces. billy’s a huge part but the pumpkins is suffering because a billy’s reluctance to admit it was bigger than just him.
