Shalom Centre provides care and love for street without prejudices. This has created confidence in the to overcome their past and positively look into the future with great hope. The intention is not to keep the child at the , but to attempt to understand each childs background and efforts made to assist each individual child. They have an that reaches all areas of . This placement needs to help in providing basic education on health & hygiene, teaching/tutoring for English, Math, conduct sex education and dealing with adolescence workshop and help in providing counseling to the . Providing for afterschool. Volunteers must be of age 18 or above with of high school.

Volunteers with the following special skills are preferred for the placement:-

 Child & Youth Worker At- Work Social Worker (BSW) Social Work Student Teacher – – Physical Education Soccer Baseball Educational Games Other Musical Instruments Social Worker (MSW)

Volunteers can assist by doing following tasks:-

Tutoring after they return from school. Provide English and Math basic education. Conduct sexual health, Dealing with Adolescence and workshops Supervise during garden (shamba) work on Tuesdays, Help with washing on their clothes on Wednesday, assist staff with cooking and cleaning rooms
